Numerous evidence suggests that molecular complexity had already begun and developed when the Solar System was an embryo inside a cold molecular cloud. In this presentation, I will present the major advances in our comprehension of chemistry during those ancient eons, based on what we observe in the young solar-like planetary systems forming in the Sun's vicinity today and our ability to understand them. I will also give an overview of the many challenges that remain to be overcome.Molecular Complexity in forming Solar-like Planetary Systemsabstract10.5194/epsc2024-8392024EPSC...17..839C
